History of Bloom
100 years
Established over 100 years ago, Bloom Recycling is a family-owned and operated company with deep roots in Northern Utah. Originally established in Brigham City in 1909 by Lion Bloom, the great-grandfather of current owner Dorothy Thyberg, who bought rags to recycle and processed animal hides. The company gradually became a full-service recycling facility serving consumers and corporate clients — and moved to Ogden where they occupied two different locations before moving to 690 West Exchange Road in 2001.
